a faith-based operation providing
neighbors of Braintree with emergency food supplies
For the last 15 years we've been helping the residents of Braintree with food and charitable donations to less fortunate families in their time of need. In addition to distributing food and supplies to families, we also sponsor several seasonal programs such as "Adopt-A-Child for Christmas".
The food and supplies we receive comes to us from several resources such as the Boston Food Bank, U.S.D.A surplus, community food drives, neighborhood school programs, charitable organizations, and bins placed in various supermarkets. We also receive a grant from Project Bread. The rest of the money and supplies comes from the generosity of the community.
Our volunteer staff includes a Registered Dietitian, who carefully supervises and plans the packaging of weekly food distribution. We also have dozens of volunteers from the church and community that give their time and energy for a variety of duties. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, help with fund raising, sponsoring a food drive, touring the site, or helping in other ways, contact Agnes Lynch at (781) 277-1609. Food donations can be dropped off at the Pantry any Wednesday between 6:30-8:30p at the Sampson Street entrance. It is strongly advised that you call before arriving.
